Transformation of our Community
We are a church family, gathered from the Greater Victoria area, enjoying supportive friendships who share common values, vision, and mission. Our greatest value is experiencing the presence of God with us. Like Moses, we don't want to go anywhere or do anything without His presence being with us (Ex. 33 15-16). We believe the greatest transformation in our lives comes from experiencing our Heavenly Father's unconditional love for us, His beloved children. (Luke 14: 6; Romans 8:15-16)
We are called to partner with the Holy Spirit to see that the dream & ministry of Jesus is fulfilled in our time, in our world. "Our Father, only you are God. May your Kingdom come and Your will be done here in our lives, in our time, in our communities, as it is in Heaven". (Mt. 6:9-10; Lk. 4:18-19; 10:1-2, 8-9; Mt.28:18-20)
"Transformation" is a radical answer to the Lord's Prayer: "Let Your Kingdom Come"… Let the extraordinary life of peace, joy, and wholeness that surrounds our Father in heaven, let that break in upon our lives and the chaotic, darkening world around us.
How will that happen?
What will it look like?
To see transformation of a community, it takes people who will stand for the community they are called to. It takes "persevering leadership" and churches that have a common faith in Jesus Christ and a common goal of Transformation, who learn to live and work together. It's about churches sharing facility, resources, gifting, partnering together in ministry and demonstrating the Father's love in practical ways to the community. As we come together we are able to enter into dialogue and work with the secular community to accomplish what we can not do on our own.
It is our vision to do whatever it takes to see "Transformation" come to Esquimalt, and to raise up other like minded communities of faith in Greater Victoria and the Island, who experience the father's extravagant love and see the dream of Jesus fulfilled in their lives and the world around them.
